I, Ruby Road Detective, was scouting the world for inspiration for this blog post and happened upon a curious thing called Mugwump.

Now, Ruby Road Resale Mall loves repurposing and giving objects new homes and new lives. This detective was very curious. I brought this home with me:

According to their website, Mugwump was created by an independent design group of women living in Portland, Oregon. They repurpose childhood books, maps, old vinyl records into wallets, handbags, clutches and more. Here’s their link. Their etsy store is over here.

All this great talk of repurposing, I thought of the other ideas you can give old books new lives. I scouted out Pinterest for more inspiration.
